Pir Chanasi – Muzaffrabad

If you are in Muzaffarabad, you must visit the place. The drive is not for faint-hearted people. It takes 1 hour and around 20 minutes to reach on top of pir chanasi from Muzaffarabad city. A good place, with a very scenic view on the way. The road condition is very good till the end. However, there’s nothing much to do once you reach the top apart from enjoying the view. There is a Masjid at the top, a shrine, a PAF base, and a tourist police base.

You will enjoy the journey till the end and may get a little disappointed after reaching there. The food available is kinda ok, it’s better if you can take your food along if you want to spend some time over there.

But please don’t throw the trash and leftovers. Instead, keep a bag and collect others’ trash as well, you will enjoy and give others a lesson too. You can later dump it all at some proper place.

There are many points on the way where you can have a stop and for sure you will enjoy more than compared on top. The weather on top is a little chilly because of the height even in summer, so it’s better to keep warm clothes for little ones.

Pir chanasi offers breathtaking views and a refreshing place for adventure lovers. The road to Pir Chanasi is quite good but dangerous, so you need to be careful while driving because some turns are really steep.
